ANSWERS TO THE MAIN QUESTIONS ABOUT RGPD

Tilkee is certified by AFAQ – Protection of personal data.

This certificate guarantees that we respect the protection of our customers’ personal data.

What is the RGPD?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a European regulation promulgated on April 27, 2016 that comes into force on May 25, 2018. It is the culmination of a policy in favor of protecting the personal data of all users in order to respect their privacy.

TILKEE / RGPD

Our team is constantly working to manage the company's defense systems, develop security review processes, design the security infrastructure, and implement the security rules needed to ensure compliant management of our customers' personal data.

In particular, we have successfully undergone several security audits of our "Enterprise" customers and obtained Afaq certification - personal data protection. While the RGPD stipulates many very specific requirements, the authorities have yet to approve any certification mechanism under Article 42 that would enable companies to easily prove compliance to their customers.

At Tilkee, we've taken the step of anticipating case law, to adopt the most restrictive private data management rules. We've been working on data protection guided by the RGPD for a long time, and we're happy to give you an overview of what we've done and intend to do in the near future to comply with European standards.

Only “personal” data is concerned.
Commonly referred to as “personal data”, this is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier, such as a name, an identification number, location data or an online identifier in the case of TILKEE.
Each of your data is collected for specific and determined purposes in order to allow the proper functioning of the services provided by the various TILKEE digital platforms.
TILKEE will ensure that it collects only relevant data in a fair and lawful manner and that it keeps this data up to date so that it is complete and accurate.

TILKEE is the main recipient of your personal data.
Your personal data will never be passed on or disclosed to third parties for the purpose of marketing to you.

However, in order to ensure the proper functioning of our services, some of your personal data will be transmitted to subcontractors.
TILKEE undertakes to entrust your personal data only to quality subcontractors who have already been audited.

Each type of data has its own retention period.
For example:
Cookies are accepted for 13 months, after which renewal must be agreed once again.
Personal data entrusted to us on Digital Platforms is kept for 3 years after the last connection or 3 months after the end of the contract.

Data is stored, preserved and encrypted by Europe’s leading hosting companies (AWS, Microsoft Azure, OVH).
The law stipulates that, for commercial prospecting purposes, the prospect’s informed consent must be obtained before any e-mails are sent.
Furthermore, in order to guarantee your duty to inform, TILKEE invites you to inform your customer of the nature of the link sent.
